- The role of the Project Manager is responsible to:
- Manage all phases of construction from initiation through close out completion of assigned projects.
- Develop and manage project budgets and schedules.
- Develop all required subcontractor scopes, negotiate project buyout and award all project related sub-contracts.
- Provide project leadership including coordinating with internal project coordinators, project engineers, client vendors and design team to assure compliance with project specifications, budgets, and schedules.
- Maintain effective communications with internal customers, project team and management. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as government and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of detail and accuracy. Ensure all project closeout requirements are completed and submitted to owner for client sign off.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of proven commercial construction project management experience
Desired Qualifications
- A BS/BA degree or higher in construction or real estate
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP)
- Strong customer relationship management skills
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Outstanding problem solving and decision-making skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
- Knowledge and understanding of project coordination: scheduling using MS Project, Project Server or similar system
- Good attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
- Budget management experience
Other Desired Qualifications
- Ability to support multiple small, midsize and large new construction and relocation projects
- Experience with retail store ground up buildouts and/or re-models, office tower up-fits, and move/add/change type work.
- Possess an understanding of project management (PMI) methodology and construction techniques.
- Experienced with contracting, bidding processes, budgeting, and scheduling
Job Expectations
- Flexibility to travel as required to support project requirements (25-50%)
